I Have a Bean wins bid for café at Wheaton Public Library

The first ever Café on the Park will be coming to the Whea­ton Public library this summer through the joint venture of I Have a Bean Coffee and Jo & Doh Donuts. After eight years of having a vacant cafe space in the Wheaton Public Library, the library’s board of trustees decided last fall it was time for a change.

Metra ticket prices rise

Wheaton students are lucky to have the culturally-rich city of Chicago at just a train ride away. However, students will now have to add several dollars to their usu­al Metra fare. A one-way ticket to Ogilvie Station is now $6 on weekdays, with a surcharge of up to $5 on the train if a ticket agent is available at the boarding station.

It’s that time of year again: time for the stars to grace the red carpet and receive their accolades for their cinematographic en­deavors. No, this isn’t the Acad­emy Awards — it’s Wheaton College’s Class Films, a “film festival” showcasing the work of some of Wheaton’s most creative minds.

Bob Fu announced as 2015 commencement speaker

The senior class of 2015 will participate in the annual com­mencement ceremony on May 10, 2015. Bob Fu, a Chinese-Amer­ican, Christian pastor, will de­liver the commencement address.
