Julie Rodgers speaks publicly for first time since summer

It turns out that the “ring by spring” culture we know so well has historical roots here at Wheaton. According the the Wheaton Alumni and Parent Engagement Association, there are a total of 44,595 living undergraduate and graduate school alumni and out of that number, 5,319 are alumni couples.

Today, the only way to climb the coaching ladder is by tediously upgrading from one coaching position to the next. If they’re lucky, by the 10th year of coaching or so, the coach might be able to make it up to the DI level of play. But if the coach doesn’t have the necessary experience playing at the DI level, it’s exponentially more difficult to coach DI basketball.
Flourish takes top prize at Shark Tank
Last Thursday Feb. 18, senior Mary Elizabeth Goodell took first place in Wheaton’s annual Shark Tank competition. Goodell won $3,000, as well as a full ride scholarship to Praxis Entrepreneurship Academy in L.A. this summer.
Chapel prank descends on town hall chapel
As far as we know, the first chapel prank of this school year took place on Feb. 22 during our annual town hall chapel. Sophomore Caleb Krumsieg initiated the prank by telling President Philip Ryken he had a question regarding Mark 2, the story of a paralyzed man who was lowered through a roof by his friends.
Overstressed, overloaded, over 18 credits
Wheaton College requires its undergraduate students to earn at least 124 credits in order to graduate. This translates to students having to take 15.5 credits a semester in order to graduate on time, but some students find themselves with a credit load well beyond that average.
The cost of freedom
“Where am I? Why are my eyes covered? Where is my wife? My family?” Bunga Bola Paulin, a refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo, said that he hopes no one ever has to ask those questions — ones he found himself asking.
Lecrae's Higher Learning tour rocks Wheaton College campus
Two-time Grammy winning artist Lecrae visited Wheaton College last Friday, Feb. 19, for a chapel address and a concert as a part of his 2016 Higher Learning Tour. Wheaton was the seventh stop on his tour of 36 cities across the United States.
