The Artificial Salvation of “The Creator”

For all its promise, here’s why “The Creator” is a missed opportunity.

For a movie you are unfamiliar with, nothing is more invigorating than a moment in the beginning that gets your blood pumping. Perhaps this is Tom Cruise jumping on the side of a departing airplane, or maybe it is the opening music number of “La La Land.” 
For me, Gareth Edwards’ “The Creator” accomplished this repeatedly in its first thirty minutes.
