This World Is Not Real Life

Simone Weil, the French mystic writer, once said, “Prayer is the orientation of all the attention of which the soul is capable toward God.” 
In other words, the very same substance that makes up our attention is the essence of prayer. It is a rare occurrence, and it can be captured only by one who is without distraction.
