Fall comes as a relief in Wheaton. While spring and summer replace the dead of winter — and students come out of hibernation and venture outdoors once again — by late August and September its charms wear thin. The sun blazes constantly down, and after days of 90 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit with ninety percent humidity, you feel like you have melted away too. Yet, the autumn breeze blows away the insufferable heat and reinvigorates students for another year of studies.
