A “Spellbinding” Performance: Karen Slack Returns to Wheaton

The GRAMMY® award winning soprano performed in the Armerding Concert Hall on September 18th.

"Und gestern hat er mir Rosen gebracht" was one of nine classical German songs sung by soprano Karen Slack during her Sept. 18 performance at Wheaton. Though many in the audience didn't speak German, most left the packet of lyric translations untouched on their laps. For them, Slack's voice appeared to be enough — it conveyed everything they needed to understand.
